The only program I am aware of is from Johnson Controls and you need sprinkcad to use it.

It can work stand-alone, just not as convenient.

The only software that will currently do it is Tyco FDT. If you drew it in SprinkCAD you can put the info into the program from the drawing. If you don't have SprinkCAD you will manually have to enter all of the data. There are some wizards to help with that.

Currently only SprinkCAD has the capability to provide FTD calculations. This is owned by Tyco, and they have a patent on it. You can reach out to Tyco and ask for a quote for them to provide you with a calculation but you have to provide hydraulic information about your system and the system design. I will say it can be pretty pricey pending number of systems and their size unless you know someone. Additionally the turn around is not the fastest.

From my understanding, Viking is working on something that will be out very soon. As well as their own design software based on Revit. Viking has a lot of the old Tyco guys now (not calling you guys old, just that you used to work for Tyco...lol). Sounds like some good stuff coming out of Viking.

In the interim, reach out to sprinkler design contractors in your area, as there may be others who have access to the software who could do it for you (for a nominal fee, of course). Still, you'll probably get better turnaround times if you're in a pinch, and likely cheaper than using JCI too.

The local jurisdiction do not require it because there are no programs except for Tyco that can be accessible. For what Tyco charges there out of their mind. I would ask for an exemption due to expense, it has worked for me.

Just so you are aware, HydraCAD has an option to export the model. This helps with importing it into the TycoFDT. There are things that you would need to fix but it is a great starting point.
