This is the new version of this tool. To use the old version, click here.

Fire Pump Analysis plots a fire pump's performance against the available water supply and the system demand, all on one chart.

Enter three sets of inputs:

  • Fire Pump Parameters — rated pressure & flow; churn (0%) and 150% points default to the NFPA 13 curve.
  • Flow Test — static, residual, and flow for the water supply curve.
  • System Demand — pressure, flow, and hose allowance.

The tool fits each curve, sums them into a combined curve, and reports the maximum combined discharge pressure and the flow where it occurs. Add a Point of Interest flow to read the city, pump, and combined pressures at that flow.

Toggle US / SI units, export the graph to DXF, PNG (transparent), or PDF, or Print a one-page report.

Download the illustrated guide for this tool, including how the pump, water-supply, and combined curves are built, worked examples, and best practices.
