Which sprinklers are appropriate for kitchen fire protection?
What about in a hood versus near a hood? Thanks in advance. Sent in anonymously for discussion. Click Title to View | Submit Your Question | Subscribe

Any standard coverage sprinkler will be fine in a commercial kitchen. I personally like the concealed heads as they're often easier to clean, remain free of that grease dust build up that every ATC ceiling gets in a kitchen. Also they wont get knocked by the buss boy with a stack of hotel pans.

Concur with Anthony fo sprinklers on the outside of the hood. Newer wet chemical system are equipped with a sprinkler connection that gets operated after the wet chem system is exhausted.

What about section 13:8.9 in the 2022 edition? This entire section is about Commercial-Type Cooking Equipment and Ventilation.

What about to use "MisteryHood" deep fat fryer sprinklers?
