I am happy to announce that the University of Kansas is picking up Fire Protection Engineering, a three-hour elective course out of the School of Engineering that will be taught by industry guest lecturers. The course is intended to support students interested in the fire protection field by exploring a variety of life safety and fire protection topics, including fire alarm design, fire suppression system design and calculations, smoke control design, and fire modeling. The course will be supported by Joseph Meyer and Kansas City area fire protection professionals.
An outline for the Spring 2016 syllabus and content can be found on the Course page. For questions or more information, please contact Joseph Meyer for more detail. |
