This week I spent a little time revisiting a post from earlier this year that broke out various requirements for components on floor control assemblies for fire sprinkler systems. A couple minor updates, but figured I would share. Thanks to Colin Triming for the tips on updates to this one!
Hope you have a great rest of your week!

Is the plumbing/valve/hose connection missing for the annual forward flow test? NFPA 25 (2017) 13.7.2.1 says a forward flow is required annually. We find that many risers in our jurisdiction are not plumbed for this. If possible, we require that the owner have 2 x 2.5 inch outlets installed on existing risers for this annual test. New construction should have this included at build time. Are we misinterpreting something? Comments are closed.
