Key Responsibilities: Help develop engaging and dynamic training content. Common tasks include:
- Training Content Development: Work with our team of expert instructors, illustrators, video editors, and web developers to coordinate and develop engaging, effective training materials, including outlining, script review, editing, and video review.
- Exercises, Simulations & Workshops: Develop interactive learning exercises, questions, and workshops to enhance our training programs and foster an engaging learning environment.
- Code and Standard Research: Stay current with fire protection codes and standards, conducting in-depth research and interpretation to support the development of our training materials.
- Book Writing & Editing: Assist in the writing, editing, and publication process of fire protection training materials and other written content.
- Event Participation: Represent MeyerFire at 2-4 national conferences annually, building relationships with industry professionals and staying informed about industry trends.
Credentials: An ideal candidate would be:
- Fire Protection Engineer (preferred), or NICET III/IV in Water-Based Systems Layout
- Minimum of ten years of US-based, senior-level experience in the fire protection industry
Critical Skills: An ideal candidate would:
- have a strong understanding of fire protection codes and standards
- have a high degree of integrity
- be able to explain complex topics in easy-to-understand language
- be computer-savvy (keyboard abilities and computer usage)
- be a fluent English speaker
- have an eye for technical detail
- be self-motivated and able to work independently
- be an avid learner
- be capable of independently seeking answers and improving processes
- be a quality leader and coordinator
