Multi-Component Egress Capacity sizes a whole set of egress paths at once and finds the limiting one — for the IBC and NFPA 101 side by side.

Add a row for each egress path, then for every path:

  • Pick the component — Door, Stair, or Level.
  • Enter its clear width (Size → Capacity) or its occupant load (Capacity → Min Size).

The tool totals every path and runs the checks a single-component calc misses: the Occupant Load Distribution check (losing any one path still leaves enough capacity) and, for assembly occupancies over 300, the Main Exit checks.

Toggle US / SI units, apply the IBC sprinkler + EVACS reduction where permitted, and Print a clean report.

Download the illustrated guide for this tool, including how the totals and the main-exit and distribution checks are calculated, with the governing code sections.
