NFPA 1 Section 13.2.2.2, a Class I standpipe is not required in buildings less than three stories or less than 50-ft high above grade.
If we have a huge industrial complex or storage occupancy of 60,000 square meters (645,000 sqft), should we not require a standpipe system if it is only one floor above grade with a total height of 40-feet? You will probably need class I standpipe outlets being that it is a storage occupancy. See below from NFPA 1, 2015 Edition:

To build upon Wayne's comment, if the jurisdiction where the facility is located uses the International Fire Code (IFC), the rules are slightly different. Section 3206.8 within the 2015 IFC states, "Where exit passageways are required by the International Building Code for egress, a Class I standpipe system shall be provided in accordance with Section 905."

It is very important to check first with the AHJ seeing that not all locations follow NFPA 1 or the IFC.
