For the 5-year Underground and exposed piping flow test NFPA 25 7.3.1 - are you to run the fire pump while recording your static, residual, and GPM's?
Without a fire pump, can I utilize the main drain as long as I can flow enough to have the 10% drop between the static and residual, along with using a pitot or a flow meter at the discharge point of the main drain? You would need to follow the previously tested method to identify a flow or pressure change based on the original results from installation. There is no % drop that would make the test "acceptable" under differing testing conditions. Section 7.5.3 allows testing through a main drain or by other means, like a flow test but as a recent post and responses indicate, flowing more water provides a better picture of the actual water supply.

Unless it’s a real low system flow/ calculation, a main drain flow will not usually produce enough flow for a system ( oh, eh, storage).

If the sprinkler system demands are based upon a booster fire pump, then the only relevant way to determine of the systems have adequate water supply is to do the flows with the pump running. Insurance companies are sticklers for seeing hydrant flow tests every 5 years; not just hydrant flushing.
