In-Rack Horizontal Barriers according to FM Global Data Sheet.
Were can I find any details about how to place the horizontal barrier using FM Global Data Sheet 8-9 Scheme 8-9a? In NFPA 13, there is a figure (NFPA 13-2016 Figure 17.1.2.9.4.2(A) ) showing this, but I can´t find any such figure in the Data Sheet. Sent in anonymously for discussion. Call FM, they are very responsive to making sure what they detail out on the Data Sheets is applied correctly.

They are called “horizontal barriers” or more traditionally “solid shelves” ref.DS8-9: 2.3.4.6.1.5 When horizontal barriers are to be installed, use minimum 22 ga (0.7 mm) sheet metal or minimum 3/8 in. (10 mm) plywood and arrange them to span from aisle face to aisle face as well as from rack upright to rack upright, covering up any flue spaces that exist between the rack uprights. A maximum 3 in. (75 mm) wide gap is acceptable between horizontal barriers at the flue space created by the rack uprights.
